FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition

On FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition, I helped define the visual style and overall UI experience, working closely with Design to develop comprehensive layouts and high-fidelity mockups.

I partnered with Engineering to break down and prepare assets for Unreal integration and working in pre-established Widget Blueprints to ensure that what was in engine matched the approved designs 1:1. Beyond design execution, I mentored artists and worked alongside the UI Director to establish a streamlined UI pipeline that enabled the team to collaborate efficiently.

I also built and maintained shared asset libraries across Figma and Adobe, creating a more consistent and scalable workflow for the team.

Main Menu

Designing the main menu helped establish the visual direction for the rest of the game. Early on, we explored whether to leverage the official FIFA 26 style guide or develop an entirely new visual language of our own.

The final direction was shaped through close collaboration across the team (First Image). Below are some of the iterations I explored throughout the process, showcasing how the design evolved.

Supporting menus

We developed a distinct visual direction for the UI and carried it throughout the experience. I contributed to the UX, layouts, assets and mockups across many of these screens.

HUD

The team decided that the UI for the HUD would match the FIFA 26 Scorebugs 1:1

Additional Designs

I worked on some alternative Main Menu designs for a different game mode.

Style Guide

Kristi Liu created a style guide for the rest of our team to use, using elements we’ve all made.
