Bioshock: The collection

Working on Bioshock was a challenging, but exciting experience. The UI team was in charge of not only enlarging assets to 4K, but to re-paint and breathe new life into them. We were given low-res UI atlas sheets that held many assets (as seen below) in a 1000px x 1000px format. This meant that when enlarging to a larger size, many assets became harshly pixelated and difficult to read. I was in charge of re-painting and sometimes redesigning the majority of the UI assets seen in Bioshock and Bioshock 2. Below are a few examples of the new UI elements.
